WHILE A MEMBER, IF THEY OFFER FREE TRIALS OF OTHER THINGS, ONCE THE FREE TRIAL IS OVER YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED, SO BE CAREFUL OF THEIR MANY OFFERS. ONCE PAYMENT IS MADE, NO REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES Several users have complained on download sites like that they were charged before the trial period ended and were unable to obtain a refund.” ![]() They offer a 14-day trial period, after which they automatically charge your credit card. You first have to get it to stop running, which is a chore in itself since it seems to have a mind of its own. It wouldn’t uninstall, once I was able to find the uninstall option, because it was running. The program popped up constantly from the system tray asking if I wanted to add the most recent pictures uploaded to my computer to my Smilebox. “I tried SmileBox earlier this year and it took forever to get rid of it. Typical review (after Incredimail purchased): Smilebox has a reputation as the “World’s Most Annoying App”. SmileBox is owned by Incredimail and it seems most complaints are for charging when customer did not expect a charge, refusing to refund, difficulty cancelling, nagware/ads/toolbars, and problems uninstalling. I did not reinstall SmileBox, but would like to use it. It was SuperAntiSpyware that alerted me, so I called them and the tech told me SmileBox is bad, but I know several people who use & enjoy it. It was so cute and I loved the program, but immediately after, my computer crashed with a virus. I downloaded the program about a year ago and made an album. My question is, Is Smilebox safe? I have received some greetings & albums from others and they are so fun. I have learned more from you about computers that from all other sources put together. It is the only element of the service that is short of stellar.Thank you both so much for all that you do. Forgive me for not acknowledging your humanity! I would still encourage them, though, to consider a live-chat or phone option for customer service. I misunderstood the reference to them being the “Smilebox WEB” and “The Voice of Customer Service” and presumed they were a bot. *Amendment* After clarification-and in case you’re the type of person who reads the review but not the response-my Smilebox customer service experience was a with a human after all. On the other hand, you PROBABLY won’t need customer service. The lack of any sort of real-time or near real-time communication with a real person (or a competent bot) is a bit outdated. Their customer service, though, is very slow and difficult to interact with. ![]() The personalized e-card-especially with the music component-can really deliver an touching and emotional moment. ![]() One great service with one flaw to consider They intentionally take advantage of people as a policy. It doesn't matter how lovely their product is. 100% do not recommend any company that makes their pricing deliberately deceiving. It is intentionally misleading advertising and then when they trick you, they tell you its your fault. If you look at other review platforms you will see even more negative reviews about this deception. If you look at the reviews you will see there are many reviews about this issue. There are many other companies out there that offer a similar product without the deception. So instead of paying $4.99 you are paying just shy of $60 for the beautiful card you created. They charge for a year subscription which you find out after you click the option for $4.99. The site leads you to believe that it will cost you a little less than $5 dollars to use their card service. Don't believe me check the BBB page for Smilebox this list of complaints is long and repetitive.
